The Greensboro Tennis Foundation

DrewserveThe Greensboro Tennis Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides tennis opportunities for juniors through GTP. Our goal is to get as many kids playing tennis as possible because we believe the sport teaches so many great life lessons. We actively seek players from all walks of life to introduce to the game of tennis. From those who have never held a racquet, to elite players… we have something for everyone! Many of our players have achieved state, southern and national rankings. We strive to be one of the strongest junior tennis programs in the Nation by helping each player reach his/her potential on and off the court.

Giving to the Greensboro Tennis Foundation helps support our tennis scholar-athletes to succeed academically, athletically and personally. The Foundation also provides outreach programs to bring a love of tennis to children who may not otherwise have exposure to the sport. The goal is to make tennis affordable for everyone who has a passion for the sport and a desire to work hard and develop as a player and a person.

The Foundation also helps sponsor student athletes to attend the GTP School, where students take on-line based classes which allows them the time and flexibility to train and travel to tournaments while receiving a first-class education.
There are many ways to give to Greensboro Tennis Foundation. Fundraising is critical to the current and future success of the program. Some of the needs that we currently have include:

  • Vans—to expand our outreach efforts to bring tennis to underserved youth in our community and to transport student-athletes to training and tournaments.
  •  Sponsors for our outreach programs that bring tennis to kids from all over the city who would not otherwise have access to it
  •  Scholarships—Many of our athletes are on need-based scholarship. Please help by donating to our scholarship funds to help these kids reach their dreams and help defray the costs of training and travel.
